Engineering has the power to transform lives and that's why engineers play an increasingly important role in the future of our country and the world. The mission of the Faculty of Engineering at AUM is to provide a diverse body of students with the ability to succeed in a highly challenging global engineering environment. We are committed to making the Faculty of Engineering a truly distinguished faculty in the region, with God's help and guidance, and our continued commitments.
The Faculty was established in 2011, as one of AUM's major pillars. The Faculty has grown since that time to become one of the largest at AUM, with a total of 16 faculty members and 7 supporting and technical staff who have a wide spectrum of scientific research and industrial experience. In addition, the Faculty has excellent engineering laboratories, which contain state-of-the-art equipment that provide our students with unique hands-on practical experience.
The Faculty offers Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees in three different specialties; namely Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. The completion of 164 credit hours is required for the bachelor degree including eight weeks of field training. In addition, the Faculty provides short courses, workshops and consulting services in different engineering fields.
We are proud of our faculty members who are dedicated professionals committed to serving students and helping them achieve their personal and career goals. They possess a combination of advanced academic study and practical experience. Their background and expertise is rich and deep. They serve as outstanding mentors for our students. Our faculty members are friendly, welcoming and supportive.
It is worth mentioning here that AUM is currently:
- Accredited by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions (HEAC) in Jordan.
- Member of the Association of Arab Universities.
- Incorporated by New Hampshire Higher Education Commission, USA.
- Seeking accreditation from New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC), which is the accrediting agency for universities in the State of New England in the USA.
