Partial Scholarships at American University of Madaba

The American University of Madaba offers Partial scholarships based on merit and academic excellence based on the average of jordanian secondary school Certificate (Tawjihi) results or its equivalent as follows:

  • Applicable to credit-hour tuition fees only.
  • These partial scholarships shall be subject to the University bylaws and regulations **and shall not apply to the summer session.
  • Applicable for all students who hold Jordanian secondary school Certificate (Tawjihi) or its equivalent, as well as Palestinians or Arabs 48 who the conditions of admission apply on.
  • The above partial scholarships do not include the fees of any exchange program under MOUs with the partner university for a semester or academic year that students chose to register in.
  • The partial scholarship is approved for one year (2017-2018) the approval is re-evaluated annually for approval of continuity/discontinuity.
  • If two partial scholarships are present the higher is effective.

In Addition to the above partial scholarships, the Board approved the following grants based on the average of secondary school Certificate (Tawjihi/ Jordanian) results or its equivalent subject to the rules and regulations of the university, which will be available shortly online ( www.aum.edu.jo ): 

  1. Full grant for those who obtain 98% and above for all majors
  2. 50% grant for those who obtain (95-97.9%) for all majors.
  3. 25% grant for those who obtain (90-94.9%) for all majors.

**All above grants and incentives subjects to the below instructions:

Article (8)

The grant provided shall be withheld in the following cases:

  1. If the student’s cumulative average in two consecutive semesters is less than 76%. Summer semester is not counted for this purpose.
  2. If the student's load in the semester is less than 15 credit hours except for the semester the student is expected to graduate. The credit hours registered by the student outside his / her study plan shall not be counted.
  3. If the student is given any disciplinary punishment of the degree of warning or above.
  4. These grants or any other grants approved by the university shall not apply to students who have chosen to study a semester or a full academic year at a university participating in the memorandum of understanding for exchange of students; instead he / she shall pay the full tuitions.

Article (9)

If the university suspends the outstanding student’s grant according to the provisions of Article (8) above, it shall be returned to him / her after satisfying all the conditions mentioned in Article (8).

How can students register?

  • Students can register either at the Admission and Registration Department on campus,
  • online http://reg.aum.edu.jo/PreAdmission.aspx
  • Students can also register through AUM liaison office located at Jabal Al-Weibdeh, Amman, Saturday and Sunday, from 9:30 to 15:00.
