An Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the American University of Madaba (AUM) and Caritas-Jordan, activating coordination and cooperation in order to disseminate knowledge on issues of citizens and refugees and to provide educational opportunities in Jordan.
The MoU was signed by AUM President, Prof. Nabil Ayoub, and by Caritas-Jordan General Director, Mr. Wael Sulaiman.
The signing ceremony was attended by Bishop William Shomali, Jordan Latin Vicar, Fr. Rifat Bader, Director of the Catholic Center for Studies and Research, AUM staff members as well as Caritas administrators and project coordinators.
The Memorandum includes several items centered on the exchange of experiences and studies and dissemination of knowledge on common interests. In addition, the agreement aims to raise the efficiency of staff members for both parties and facilitate the establishment of training programs, seminars and scientific research.
Such MoUs emphasize the importance of collaboration between universities and professional institutions in the implementation of social programs. It is worth noting the remarkable cooperation that is taking place these days between AUM and Caritas-Jordan in coordinating the activities of the World Youth Forum for Peace, which will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of September on AUM’s campus.
