Student Communities at AUM

Introduction

AUM Student Communities are your gateway to a richer, more connected university experience, where learning extends beyond the classroom into creativity, collaboration, leadership, and self-discovery.

Joining a student community offers valuable exposure, practical experience, and meaningful opportunities to engage with others. It helps students build communication skills, develop confidence, explore their interests, and realize their full potential.

AUM Student Communities reflect the University’s values of creativity, leadership, civic engagement, and human development, while offering students inspiring spaces in which to learn, contribute, and grow.

Our Student Communities

1. Non-Smoking Community
A student-led community dedicated to wellness, self-care, and a healthier campus environment. It raises awareness about the risks of smoking and encourages positive lifestyle choices through campaigns, peer support, awareness activities, field visits, and community events.

2. Sports Community
Where energy meets teamwork. This community brings students together through sports tournaments, fitness challenges, and wellness activities that promote discipline, resilience, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle both on and off the field.

3. Student Voice (صوتنا) Community
A platform where student voices matter. This community promotes dialogue, advocacy, debate, and constructive feedback. Its members work on initiatives that enhance student life, amplify youth perspectives, and strengthen communication between students and university leadership.

4. Balladi (بلدي) Community
Rooted in civic responsibility, engagement, and love for Jordan, this community connects students with local communities through volunteering, environmental projects, and cultural initiatives that foster belonging, empathy, and positive social impact.

5. Fursatuna (فرصتنا) Community
A space where opportunity meets creativity. Students in Fursatuna engage in entrepreneurship, innovation, and skill-building programs, transforming ideas into projects that create meaningful change for youth and society.

6. Future Thinking and New Science Community
Designed for forward-thinking innovators with an interest in science, technology, and artificial intelligence, this community explores how emerging technologies are reshaping the world. It encourages students to think critically, ethically, and creatively about the future, while helping them develop innovative ideas into prototypes that can be showcased, developed, and potentially brought to market.

7. Ra7ala (رحّالة) Community
A community of adventure, discovery, and learning beyond the classroom. Ra7ala invites students to explore Jordan’s natural and cultural heritage through trips, eco-tours, and field-based learning experiences that promote leadership, teamwork, and environmental awareness.

8. Design Community
Where imagination becomes impact. This community brings together students interested in visual design, branding, digital creativity, business prototyping, communication, nutrition ideation, and the development of innovative concepts across academic fields. Through a design-thinking process from ideation to conceptualization, prototyping, and creation, students learn to transform ideas into functional, aesthetic, and market-ready solutions.

9. Performing Arts and Music Community
A stage for expression and creativity. Through music, theatre, and performance, this community celebrates talent, emotion, and storytelling, giving students a voice to connect hearts and cultures through the arts.

10. Chess and Board Games Community
A space for strategy, focus, and intellectual challenge. This community brings together students who enjoy critical thinking through chess and classic board games. It fosters patience, foresight, and analytical skills while creating a friendly environment for tournaments, teamwork, and strategic learning. Through play and practice, students strengthen decision-making, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills essential for leadership and life beyond the board.
