The Department of Biology & Biotechnology at the American University of Madaba, in collaboration with PAWPA and the Generation Guardians Initiative, hosted a special event to highlight the global and urgent issue of antibiotic resistance. 

The event focused on raising awareness about the dangers of antimicrobial resistance, the importance of proper hygiene practices, and strategies to support public health and national efforts against this growing threat. It provided students and university staff with valuable knowledge and practical insights, reinforcing the role of education and research in combating antibiotic resistance and promoting a healthier society.

 The program featured lectures and insights from Dr. Maysam Akroush, Colonel Dr. Alia Khlaifat, Dr. Jude Jarrah, and Dr. Salam Momani. 

This initiative reflects the American University of Madaba’s commitment to supporting scientific and student activities and raising awareness of priority health challenges locally and globally.
