AUM Holds Official Ceremony Honoring Prof. Adi Arida’s Appointment as the New University President

Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American University of Madaba, Engineer Azzam Shweihat, the university held an official ceremony celebrating the appointment of Prof. Adi Arida as President of the American University of Madaba. The event was attended by His Excellency Bishop Iyad Twal, Patriarchal Vicar for the Latin Church in Jordan, alongside members of the Board of Trustees, faculty and administrative staff, and a number of esteemed priests.

In his remarks, Engineer Shweihat expressed pride in the occasion and reaffirmed the Board’s confidence in Prof. Arida’s ability to further advance the university’s journey of development and excellence, while strengthening its academic and administrative standing.

Bishop Twal also addressed the gathering, praising the university’s pioneering role in serving education and society, and commending its humanitarian and national mission. He extended his best wishes to the new president for success in his new responsibilities.

For his part, Prof. Arida expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency Bishop Iyad Twal, the Board of Trustees, and the university community for their generous gesture and continued trust.
