AUM Hosts Public Speaking Workshop

The Faculty of Languages and Communication, in collaboration with the Language Center, organized a workshop titled “Speaking with Confidence in Diverse Cultural Settings,” led by public speaking trainer Ms. Lubna Abu Hannah. The workshop welcomed 30 students from AUM, in addition to students from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate School in Madaba.

The workshop focused on developing effective public speaking skills and enhancing students’ confidence when communicating in multicultural environments. Participants were introduced to key techniques related to voice control, body language, message delivery, and audience engagement.

As part of the practical component, students were divided into groups to practice short speeches, allowing them to apply the strategies discussed during the session. The workshop concluded with student presentations that reflected improved confidence, clarity, and overall performance.

This initiative reflects the Faculty of Languages and Communication and the Language Center’s ongoing commitment to empowering students with essential communication skills that support academic success and global engagement.
