Faculty of Architecture & Design Organizes Site Visit Opposite Mount Nebo

The Faculty of Architecture and Design organized a site visit to the designated project location for the Architectural Design III course, “Site Opposite Mount Nebo.” The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students with the site on which their semester project will be based.

During the visit, students examined the site’s main features, including its topography, orientation, access points, surrounding urban fabric, and nearby services. They also analyzed environmental and climatic factors and their impact on the design process.

The visit included a tour of Mount Nebo, located opposite the project site, where students explored its historical and religious significance, as well as its visual and spatial relationship to the project area. This exploration helped them understand how the visual connection and landscape context can be integrated to enrich the architectural concept and enhance the aesthetic value of their designs.

The visit provided students with the opportunity to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience through direct observation and data collection to support their upcoming site analysis and design development.

This experience enhanced students’ ability to analyze sites comprehensively, understand the relationship between buildings and their surroundings, and make informed, context-based design decisions.
